The Innocent Smoothification of Language

Brooker wrote about this a while back, but the infantalisation of corporate communication continues apace, much to the chagrin of all right-thinking people. Or maybe just me.

I received my new debit card today. Like the old one, it has instructions on the reverse in the event of its loss.
